From April 20 to 23, the 2024 World Congress on Internal Combustion Engines will be held in Tianjin. As the vice chairman unit of China Society of Internal Combustion Engines, the school is a strategic partner and conference sponsor of the 2024 World Congress of Internal Combustion Engines. More than 50 teachers and students attended the conference. Ma Shengsheng and three other doctoral students won the TOP10 Paper Award of the 2024 World Congress of Internal Combustion Engines; Five scientific research achievements were presented at the conference.
More than 40 Chinese and foreign academicians and more than 2,000 scientists, entrepreneurs and scientific and technological workers from 22 countries attended the conference to discuss the future development of internal combustion engines and new power under the background of "dual carbon". Industry experts from well-known scientific research institutes at home and abroad brought 11 wonderful keynote reports, 56 industry invited reports, and nearly 500 excellent papers to exchange and publish on site. More than 200 domestic and foreign enterprises, universities, research institutes participated in the International Internal combustion engine and manufacturing equipment exhibition held in the same period. During the meeting, teachers from the school were invited to make special invitation reports and chapter reports.
The five scientific research achievements on display are: intelligent damping seat, Marine interactive electronic technology manual, diesel engine thermal redundancy electronic control system, STC controller, high pressure common rail fuel injectors digital simulation platform.
During the meeting, Wan Gang, President of China Association for Science and Technology, Jin Donghan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Huang Zhen visited the school booth for guidance. The relevant person in charge of the Power College introduced the new achievements and applications of the school in the field of ship power to the guests, and the guests highly affirmed the school's exhibition works and talent training work.
Under the background of the "double carbon" goal, the school closely follows the needs of the powerful country and the strong military, actively implements the national "innovation-driven development strategy", plays the role of the "vanguard" in the field of power energy industry, innovates internal combustion engine technology, and promotes economic and social development.
In recent years, in major national strategic projects such as "Marine Low-speed Machine (Phase I) Project" and "Marine Engine Major Project", the school has innovatively proposed rapid controlled combustion, dynamic and tribological coupling analysis of key friction pairs, and full-life cycle vibration and noise suppression design, which have been applied to the forward design of all independently developed Marine models in China. Support China's high-power Marine engine technology to reach the international advanced level. At the same time, the school for Marine engine system applications, research and development of diesel engine integrated electronic control system, vibration active control system, booster control system, energy comprehensive utilization system, integrated exhaust treatment system and other devices, support China's own brand of high-power Marine engines independent control, towards the international market.
Initiated by the China Society of Internal Combustion Engines in 2018, the World Internal Combustion Engine Congress is a comprehensive technical exchange event for the internal combustion engine industry with the participation of countries, regions and organizations around the world. The conference, held every three years, covers international academic exchanges, summit forums, technological achievements promotion, high-end product exhibitions and on-site technical visits, aiming to build a comprehensive platform for collaborative innovation and harmonious development of the world's internal combustion engine and its related industries. During the three-day academic exchange session, the conference invited well-known experts and scholars from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Spain and other countries to make presentations, collected more than 500 academic papers, and set up sub-venues such as transportation energy and intelligent control, efficient and clean combustion, carbon neutrality and emission control of internal combustion engines, design and manufacturing lubrication and reliability, fuel cells and energy storage, and modern power. Activities such as Chinese and foreign youth science and technology salons, expert forums and technology visits will also be held during the conference.
