    Zhang Xinyu, Ph.D., Professor. Areas of research projects include special engine technology, noise control technology for diesel engine intake and exhaust, and interactive electronic technical manual (IETM) technology. At the areas of teaching, serving as the leader of the "National Quality Resource Sharing Course" and the "Internal Combustion Engine Structure" MOOC course; since 2004, he has been awarded as an excellent lecturer of Harbin Engineering University for more than 10 times, and has won national teaching achievement awards and provincial higher education teaching awards several times. At the areas of scientific research, he has led or participated in several projects such as equipment development, equipment pre research, and civil product research; and has won National Science and Technology Progress Awards and National Defense Science and Technology Progress Awards several times.

    research status

    He has completed or is currently leading or participating various equipment development, equipment pre research, and civil product projects, such as simulation and experimental research on closed cycle diesel engines, development of diesel engine exhaust mufflers, and development of main engine exhaust mufflers.
