We have formed our own characteristics and advantages in the fields including the performance evaluation and dynamic simulation of steam power and secondary circuit of nuclear power systems, intelligent control and management of heat energy in marine ship, multiphase flow and heat transfer, and exploitation of natural gas hydrate in sea area. Some achievements have been successfully applied in industry. Our research is the leading level in China. In recent five years, we have undertaken 15 projects of national and ministerial research projects, 8 projects commissioned by enterprises and institutions, and obtained more than 50 million RMB for scientific researches. We have won the first prize in the natural science of Heilongjiang Province once, the first prize of national defense science and technology progress once, the second prize of national defense science and technology progress twice, and the third prize of national defense science and technology progress once. We have published over 200 papers in core journals and important academic conferences including more than 20 papers searched by SCI and 50 papers searched by EI, obtained 12 national or national defense invention patents and 15 software copyrights, and written three books for undergraduate teaching.
